Mediation from a Narrative Perspective
Stories define who we are and who we are not. Stories are the tissue of social life and interpersonal interaction. This mediation training with a narrative focus is designed to enhance the mediator’s role through understanding the basic concepts and using the tools of narrative analysis and intervention. The participants will be introduced to what the narrative approach to mediation is; with the goal of experiencing themselves and social life in a story. They will be enticed to identify the stages of a mediation process as a narrative process through practicing specific skills that are used in narrative intervention.
