Kathey J. Foskett, MS, CPCC

Kathey J. Foskett is an internationally recognized mediator, trainer of mediators, facilitator, and consultant in conflict management and other subjects related to alternative dispute resolution (ADR), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and other workplace conflict and employee relations. Foskett is certified by the Virginia Supreme Court with an Advanced Certificate and holds Advanced Practitioner status with the Association for Conflict Resolution.  Foskett is a certified CTI trained Co-Active Coach and is a certified user of the Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP) and the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI).

Foskett is a highly experienced professional who serves as a senior trainer for Virginia Supreme Court certified basic and advanced mediation programs.  Foskett also provides mentoring, supervision, and consultation to mediators preparing for initial Supreme Court certification as well as for established mediators.   In addition, Foskett has provided hundreds of hours of training for numerous federal government and private sector agencies and professionals in the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Mediation, Conflict Prevention, Conflict Management and Resolution, Interest-based Negotiation and Communication Skills for Managers, Supervisors and Non-Supervisors.  Foskett clients include NASA, CIA, US Navy, US Air Force, US Army, Department of the Interior, Transportation Security Administration, Supreme Court of Arkansas, Environmental Protection Agency, US Census Bureau, Maryland Judiciary, National Mediation Board, International Trade Commission, Public Administration Forum, Suffolk New York EEOC, George Mason University, Johns Hopkins University, Head Start, Virginia Mediation Network, and Leadership Fairfax among others.

Foskett has twenty years of experience mediating EEO and other workplace disputes for federal and state agencies, general and circuit court cases, landlord tenant, neighborhood, community, family/divorce and other types of conflicts.  Foskett served on many mediation and conflict related committees and planning groups including the Northern Virginia Mediation Service Board of Directors and the Virginia Mediation Network where she served as a past President of the Board.

Foskett is the author of Mediation Skills and Process, a training manual used in a local law school mediation curriculum and local skills training programs.  Foskett earned a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University. Foskett is a member of the Virginia Mediation Network, the Association for Conflict Resolution, and the International Coach Federation.
