2024 Welcome Breakfast

Conflicts are inevitable.
Failure to compromise is not. But sometimes people need help.

Standing With Communities For Peace.

For almost 35 years, NVMS Conflict Resolution Center has helped individuals, families, and businesses settle their disputes amicably. An affiliate of George Mason University Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution and Analysis, NVMS’s trained mediators offer alternative dispute resolution services, including family mediation, community and commercial mediation, conflict coaching, conflict management, and mediation certification training.

With your support, NVMS has helped more than 10,000 DMV organizations and individuals transcend conflicts peaceably. NVMS also has helped to pioneer Fairfax County’s highly successful Alternative Accountability Program, giving juvenile offenders an alternative to court-imposed punishment through a facilitated restorative justice conference toward accountability for harm made to victims. For low-income individuals and families, NVMS offers its mediation services pro bono.

We pave the way for peace. Our clients seek affordable means to navigate disputes of all kinds. They aspire for peace in their relationships as part of moving forward. Through its Bridging Communities Program, NVMS strengthens community relationships by providing an affordable resource for individuals, families, and organizations to manage disputes constructively. Our staff and practitioners are Supreme Court of Virginia certified mediators with an unyielding desire to serve as instruments of peace in our communities.

NVMS’s Welcome Breakfast is all about: standing with communities for peace as individuals and families navigate conflicts and aspire for continued positive relationships. We dedicate NVMS’s Welcome Breakfast to our community residents. This event marks the beginning of a new era of strategic growth – taking us to our 35th anniversary milestone in 2025 with a solemn promise that we will always be there for residents in need.
