NVMS CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF THREE NEW MEMBERS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Fairfax, VA (October 19, 2020) — Joining the Board of Directors are Guillermo Birmingham, Edmond Ebeid, and Abe Pollack. “All three of our newest Board members bring talent, expertise and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to transform the lives of individuals and families through mediation, facilitation, and training,” says Arleen Ramirez Borysiewicz, Executive Director.
Guillermo Birmingham has over 35 years of experience in financial, administration and operational leadership positions, with a background in developing policies and programs to manage billion-dollar and multimillion-dollar functions. He applies excellent analytical skills to financial, business and technology operations with a track record of success in achieving multimillion-dollar cost savings and the development of ground breaking operational programs. He is also a retired US Air Force colonel, having served 26 years across the world before his retirement in 2008. Birmingham is an advocate for those who need social, legal or financial assistance. He has been appointed to many boards, commissions, and committees throughout his career. In May 2020, he was appointed to serve a second two-year term on the Audit and Finance Committee of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Edmond Ebeid is a software engineer and a senior data scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton. He has over 20 years as a technology leader developing web-based training curriculum, and building web applications. He has packaged and deployed training curriculum to myriad learning management systems, while integrating custom training into many learning environments. He has leveraged both custom and existing products to integrate into a company process and has developed countless products that are both 508 and SCORM compliant for federal clients. Ebeid also has over 10 years of owning and managing a software and web development firm, Blue Echo Studios, with expertise in business analysis, project management, web applications, website development, and mobile development.
Abe Pollack is founder and principal of Pollack Badawi Group, a nationwide attorney search firm based in Washington, D.C. He has counseled hundreds of attorneys on their job searches and fostered relationships with managing partners, general counsels, and recruiting managers. Pollack was the associate dean for professional development and career strategy at the George Washington University Law School and a director at the Georgetown University Law Center’s Office of Career Services. He has worked closely with the hiring leaders at the nation’s top legal employers. In addition, Abe was an attorney at two AmLaw 100 law firms in Washington, DC.
