NVMS has been selected to participate in the Catalyst Grant Program to support local communities to advance racial equity and reform in the criminal legal system.
In 2022 NVMS, in partnership with the Fairfax County Office of the Commonwealth Attorney (“OCA”), developed the Adult Accountability for Safer Communities (AASC), a restorative justice diversion program that provides an alternative to the criminal legal system for young adults.
NVMS aims to use Catalyst Grant Funding to expand the AASC from a pilot to a permanent program and reduce racial inequities by improving tech infrastructure.
